This is a 1-day class where we will go over the use of the router and explain the ins and outs, demonstrating the standard basic router along with the plunge router and one handed trim or laminate router. You will get a chance to use all of the router types as well as using the router in a router table. We’ll go over the various types of router bits explaining their plusses and minuses. And we’ll make a small project using the router that you take home with you. If you have your own router, you may bring it with you.
With the table saw we’ll go over standard safety operations and showcase different techniques in order to get the maximum use of your tool. We’ll cover the best overall blades for both solid wood and plywood and demonstrate using the Dado blade for grooves and rabbets as well as tenons.
